Encourage rising sophomores and juniors in MSTEM who are underrepresented culturally, socially, or economically to apply for the Appalachian Gerontology Experiences: Advancing Diversity in Aging Research Summer Research Internship by Jan. 15.
Funded by the National Institute on Aging, the AGE-ADAR two-year training program will provide participants with intensive hands-on research experience, which begins with a six-week summer program May 16.
Additionally, students will take part in courses and workshops focusing on written and oral communication skills and professional development.
This paid research program aims to train students in aging research and prepare them to address Appalachian health disparities as future researchers and health professionals.
